I run a small but light and well-equipped music recording studio based in St Pauls in central Bristol.

As a singer-songwriter myself, I designed the studio to be a comfortable and supportive space for other acoustic / folk artists but of course we’re open to all types of music. With Neve preamps, valve mics, upright piano, a Mellotron and other fun keyboards… we’re ready to give your songs the attention, fidelity and creativity they deserve.

Currently enjoying recording directly to 2-track 1/4 tape for a warm, rich and clear analogue sound.

My rates for recording or mixing are £190 per day, or £28 p/h (recording / mixing) if a shorter session. Tip - It’s good to remember to budget for both recording and mixing time.

A £14 set-up fee is charged if recording session is under 4 hours. (I like to have things pretty much set up and ready to roll when a client arrives rather than charge you for all that time faffing about, but I have to charge a little extra for short sessions to reflect that time I spend.)

Evenings are good, as are weekends if booked in advance. Contact for more information or to book.

I’m passionate about making the studio a welcoming, inclusive space to promote your creativity. Studio recording can seem an intimidating process, and I am keen to overcome this.

I will work with you in a supportive way, tailoring your studio experience to your specific needs. I also welcome visits for an informal chat and discuss your project over a cuppa!
